Sanskrit, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu Language Lessons
Our team of student friendly teachers has advanced degrees in Indian languages. The actual content of the live online lessons (emphasis may be on spoken, literary, writing) is customized to suit the student's interest. We work with all levels of students, and are happy to structure the course as a long term one or a short term module depending on your goals.
Sanskrit Slokas and Tamil Chant Lessons
Students may sign up for any one or more of 16 different modules.
Module 1 General beginner slokas – 2 parts of 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 1 will be taught the following in sub-module 1A:
1. Simple, easy to learn slokas on various deities - Vinayaka, Saraswathi, Subrahmanya, Rama, Krishna, Devi, Siva, Hanuman, Raghavendra, Adi Sankara, Hayagriva, Dakshinamurti.
2. Slokas that are recited at specific times such as before going out,while taking food, while studying, before going to bed, before writing exams and so on.
3. Ashtakams like Totakaashtakam , Krishnaashtakam , Madhuraashtakam, Sudarshanaashtakam, Achutaashtakam and Ganeshapancharatnam (any two Ashtakams of the student’s choice)
Students signing up for Module 1 will be taught the following in sub-module 1B:
4. Ashtakams and Panchakams like - Gananayakashtakam, Subrahmanya Panchakam/Ashtakam, Siva Panchakshara stotram, Margabandhu stotram, Guruvatapureesha Pancharatnam, Hanumath Ashtakam, Sastha Ashtakam (Harivarasanam...), Devi Ashtakams
Module 2 Bhagavad Gita – 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students may opt to learn any of the following 8 sub-modules (Gita Chapter combinations) in Module 2.
1. Chapters 1 and 10
2. Chapters 2 and 12
3. Chapters 3, 4 and 14
4. Chapters 5 and 6
5. Chapters 9, 13 and 15
6. Chapters 11 and 16
7. Chapters 7, 8, and 17
8. Chapter 18, phalashruti & Geeta Arati
On completion of each sub-module, student may sign up for another set of Chapters from Module 2.
Module 3 Vishnu Sahasranamam – 24 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 3 will be taught to recite the complete set of Vishnu Sahasranamam slokas.
Module 4 Lalitha Sahasranamam – 24 sessions of 30 min each
Students opting for Module 4 will be taught to recite the complete set of Lalitha Sahasranamam slokas.
Module 5 Special slokas – 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 5 will be taught the following:
1. Kanakadharastotram
2. Aadityahrudayam
3. One Ashtakam from the following options - Totakaashtakam , Krishnaashtakam , Madhuraashtakam, Sudarshanaashtakam, Achutaashtakam and Ganeshapancharatnam
Module 6 Soundaryalahari – 24 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 6 will be taught the entire set of Soundaryalahari slokas
Module 7 Divya Prabandham Andal's Tiruppavai Chanting - 24 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 7 will be taught to chant the entire Tiruppavai set. This includes Tiruppaavai Thaniyans – 3 , Aandal’s Tiruppaavai – 1-30, Tiruppavai Vaazhi Tirunaamam – 2
Module 8 Divya Prabandham Periyazhwar Tiruppallaandu - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 8 will be taught to chant the following:
Podhutthaniyans - 5 Periyazhwar Tirumozhi Thaniyans - 3
Module 9 Divya Prabandham Periyazhwar Tirumozhi Pasurams - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 9 will be taught to chant the following:
Neeraattam – 10 Pucchuttal - 10 Kaappidal – 10
Module 10 Divya Prabandham Thondaradippodi Azhwar Pasurams - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 10 will be taught to chant the following:
Thaniyans - 2 Thondaradippodi azhwar's Tiruppalliyezhucchi – 10
Module 11 Divya Prabandham Tiruppaan Azhwar Pasurams - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 11 will be taught to chant the following:
Thaniyans – 2 Tiruppaanaazhwar’s Amalanaadhipiraan – 10
Module 12 Divya Prabandham Madhurakavi Azhwar Pasurams - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 12 will be taught to chant the following:
Thaniyans – 2 Madhurakavi azhwar’s Kanninun Shirutthaambu – 11
Module 13 Avvaiyar Aathichoodi - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 13 will be taught to recite the Āathichoodi, a collection of 108 single-line quotations written by Avvaiyar, and organized in Tamil alphabetical order.
Module 14 Avvaiyar Kondrai Vendan and Vetriverkai - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 14 will be taught to recite the following:
Avvaiyar Kondrai Vendan – comprising 91 verses, Vetriverkai by Athiveera Rama Pandian – 19 important moral teachings from this work
Module 15 Ulaganidhi and Bharathiyar Aathichoodi - 16 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 15 will be taught to recite the following:
Ulaganathar Ulaganidhi – 66 important teachings from this work
Subramanya Bharathiyar Pudhiya Aathichoodi – 42 unique teachings from this work
Module 16 Thiruvalluvar Tirukkural - 24 sessions of 30 min each
Students signing up for Module 16 will be taught to recite 100 important couplets from the Tirukkural
